Advertising, Affiliate & Cookie Disclosure
This page explains how advertising, affiliate relationships, and cookies may support Bikaze in the future — and the standards we’ll hold them to.
Current status
As of the effective date above, Bikaze does not run any advertising network, affiliate links, or sponsorships. No third-party ad or analytics tags are active on the site. This page will be updated, and any required consent tools put in place, before any of that changes.
Our plain-English promise
- Advertising and affiliate income, if introduced, may help keep Bikaze’s guides free.
- Paid relationships will never guarantee favorable coverage.
- Any material connection will be disclosed clearly, near the relevant recommendation.
- We won’t ask readers to click ads to support the site.
- Our editorial standards apply whether or not a brand pays Bikaze — see our Editorial Policy.
If advertising is introduced
If Bikaze activates an advertising network such as Google AdSense, that provider may use cookies, pixels, device identifiers, and activity data to deliver, personalize, and measure ads. Advertisements would be supplied by third parties and would not necessarily reflect Bikaze’s views. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and how AdSense uses cookies.
If affiliate links are introduced
If a Bikaze page includes an affiliate link (for example, to a bike shop or gear retailer) and you make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Any such relationship will be disclosed clearly and close to the recommendation, and compensation will never determine our conclusions.
Cookies and similar technologies
Bikaze currently uses only essential cookies needed for the site to function (for example, WordPress and security cookies). We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we’ll describe the new categories here and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, show a consent mechanism that lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies before they’re set.
Your choices
You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time. If we activate advertising in the future:
- You’ll be able to manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings.
- You can explore participating-company choices through WebChoices.
- Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland will be shown a consent mechanism before any personalized ad technology is used, in line with applicable law.
Sponsored content and free gear
Bikaze does not currently accept sponsored posts or free products for review. If that changes, any such relationship will be disclosed clearly in the article, and our opinions will remain our own regardless of what a sponsor provided.
